Are you a Buyer looking for a new challenge? Jackson Hogg is delighted to be supporting a client based in Slough with the appointment of a Buyer. We are looking for somebody with previous buying experience within a manufacturing setting.
On offer is an excellent opportunity to step up into a role within a business going through operational changes and developments, where new ideas and ways of working are encouraged.
This person must be resilient, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Responsibilities include:

  • Sourcing new-buy components against multi-level BOMs
  • Supplier selection and contract awarding
  • Maintaining SRM with existing Suppliers
  • Leading a cost reduction program
  • Support Procurement Manager in strategic sourcing
  • Support NPD team by liaising with Suppliers
  • Liaise with the quality team and ensure our quality requirements are implemented within our supplier base.

The Person:

  • Driven and focused on success.
  • High level communicator.
  • Experience with Engineering drawings would be beneficial
  • 3+ years on a Buyer position in a manufacturing environment would be beneficial
