They are looking to appoint a Commercial Quantity Surveyor who is responsible for working with the commercial and delivery team to ensure contracts are delivered within time and budget. This will include customer liaison, sending and receiving communications through direct contact and using customer portals. Representing the customer perspective within the business to ensure alignment to the changing customer needs and requirements.
Key Job roles to include
- Monitor and drive the progress of Compensation Events, to agreement by liaison with the client’s representatives. List of detailed responsibilities
- Prepares cost estimates as required.
- Preparation of measurement sheets and assists in quantity take-off for tenders.
- Prepare template CVR for each project where required.
- Monitors and records site progress and keep records of day works.
- Collate the allocation of project manpower and productivity for submission to the client for applications.
- Prepares monthly progress payment applications for traditional applications or against activity schedule and follow up on payments.
- Preparation/ validation of payments for Subcontractors and Suppliers.
- Assist in claims preparation
- Establishes and operates cost and financial control systems.
- Provides advice on contractual claims.
- Prepares monthly progress payment applicationss.
- Prepare final accounts for contract completion.
Skills:
- Background in M&E Quantity Surveying
- Understanding of an engineering contracting environment particularly NEC conditions
