Reporting to: Sr. Estimator

Working hours: Flexible (37.5hrs/week)
Introduction
Jackson Hogg is pleased to be working with an Engineering Services Provider who specialise in inspection, materials, and mechanical engineering services. They are currently seeking an Estimator to work within their Inspection team around UK sites. This a full-time office-based role in Stockton but will require some travel for client site visits.
Role & Responsibilities
- Review enquiries and tenders
- Identify labour, materials, time, and travel costs required for project
- Visit client sites to assess the project and collect dimensions/meterages
- Create cost estimates and pricing against existing norms
- Produce draft proposals (for review by management)
- Assist in invoice preparation
- Review jobs after completion to analyse variances between estimated values and achieved and provide feedback on root causes
- Prepare and maintain a cost database to enable future jobs to be priced quickly and accurately.
Skills and Experience
- A valid UK Driving licence
- Excellent IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel
- A high standard of numeracy
- Great communication skills, ideally in client-facing roles
- Able to meet deadlines when needed
- Able to work in the UK without restriction
