Key responsibilities

  • Support, develop and lead the Finance team’s core functions:
    • Financial accounting
    • Accounts Receivable
    • Accounts Payable
    • Treasury
    • Payroll
    • Month end close
  • Prepare the monthly management accounts and KPI’s for the Management Meeting.
  • Lead the annual external audit process and support the preparation of the statutory accounts and Corporation Tax Computations
  • Manage the annual budget process and submission to parent company.
  • Prepare monthly P&L forecasts and track performance vs budget.
  • Lead Capital Expenditure Request process and obtain investment grant funding where possible.
  • Partner with Supply Chain team to ensure effective inventory levels are maintained with a good inventory turnover. Also support the management of Excess & Obsolete inventories.
  • Inventory analysis reports.
  • Manage fixed cost supplier/service agreements.
  • Manage and reduce risks to the business.
  • Manage Insurance Policies for the UK site.
  • Continuous improvement of finance and business processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Maintain effective product costing systems, including annual update of costing rates
  • Analyse sales profitability reports and evaluate customer and product profit margin.
  • Ensure compliance with our Client's Transfer Pricing policies
  • Conduct regular analysis of manufacturing variances.
  • Work with legal and other consultants to ensure compliance.
  • Company Secretary duties
  • Analyse and control fixed costs.
  • Support and develop our Client's Sustainability Management System.
  • Ad hoc reconciliations and analysis of data as required.

Person specification

  • ACCA or CGMA (CIMA) qualified.
  • Previous experience of working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience of successfully leading and developing a team.
  • Professional, committed, and organised approach to work with a drive for results and a customer service focus.
  • Brilliant analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Fantastic communication skills.
  • Excellent IT skills including Advanced Excel and modern ERP software.
