We are in search of an accomplished Senior Project Management Lead with a background in leadership roles within digital/software environments. The ideal candidate will excel in Agile methodologies and possess a track record of mentoring peers in this framework.

This pivotal role within our thriving digital agency demands hands-on management of intricate client workstreams/programs, coupled with leadership of the Project Management team. You will be instrumental in advancing our established Ways of Working and devising a strategy that aligns with departmental and broader business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a team of Project Managers
  • Assess, communicate, and provide leadership visibility on ongoing issues, risks, and progress in client delivery
  • Manage workstreams/projects/programs in adherence to deadlines, budgets, and quality standards, ensuring effective governance across all client projects
  • Cultivate positive relationships with client stakeholders and their delivery counterparts
  • Efficiently manage risks, issues, and scope changes
  • Lead by example within the department, equipping your team with essential tools and training
  • Enhance existing Ways of Working to craft and execute a strategy for the Project team aligned with departmental and organizational goals

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of Project Management experience, with a demonstrated ability to lead fellow Project Managers
  • Profound understanding of software development life cycle models, coupled with expertise in Agile and traditional project management principles
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex digital and technical projects
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams concurrently
  • Experience overseeing multifunctional project teams comprising UX, Creative, Developers, and QA Personnel
  • Demonstrated proficiency in budgetary control and stakeholder reporting
  • Track record in compiling scope of requirements documents, progress reports, and change control documents
  • Strong client-facing skills, with the ability to confidently lead face-to-face meetings
  • Support the wider client services team effectively
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, adept at engaging with business and IT stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong analytical, planning, and organizational abilities, capable of managing competing client demands
  • Proficiency in utilizing appropriate tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Project, and Office suite

Additional Details:

  • Full-time position, based on 37.5 hours per week
  • Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne (3/2 hybrid working model)
