I am looking for a passionate and driven Internal Sales Executive to join an energetic sales team based in Durham. You will be working as part of a team with our Customer Service Executives and Business Development Managers to support and drive sales growth. The goal is to help the company achieve sales growth by developing new business from existing clients and actively seeking new sales opportunities. Responsibilities

  • Develop a prospect list to enable you to effectively make outbound customer calls to promote and sell our service-based solutions to potential new customers
  • Send prospecting or follow up emails to customers, including relevant product literature, brochures and other marketing campaign materials
  • Consistently build a sustainable pipeline of both run-rate and larger sales opportunities, creating a referral if necessary to the Business Development Manager's
  • Achieve and exceed Monthly and Annual Sales, New Accounts and other growth targets as per agreement with Sales Office Manager and Head of Commercial
  • Proactively contact and engage with customers, with the aim to build and maintain strong, long-lasting business relationships/partnerships across the customer network
  • Work towards a Strategic Account Plan and review/analyse with Sales Office Manager and Head of Commercial
  • Ensure a regular flow of communication is established with customers through emails, calls and marketing campaigns
  • Address customer concerns and questions and overcome potential roadblocks in the sales cycle
  • Use product knowledge to showcase the range of solutions that we can offer and upsell/cross-sell when the opportunity arises
  • Create activities, opportunities and quotes using a CRM whilst effectively utilising CRM as a sales tool
  • Daily updating of CRM to maintain accurate opportunity forecasts, details of progress/plans including past activity
  • Demonstrate an understanding of current/emerging legislation and the waste industry and understand how this can influence business strategy
  • Work with colleagues to ensure that admin is managed efficiently therefore providing customers with an excellent customer experience

Person Specification

  • Experience in the waste or recycling industry
  • Proven success in Internal Sales roles
  • Computer literate with solid experience of CRM software and MS Office
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple customer enquiries, while maintaining sharp attention to detail
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £26,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
