Jackson Hogg are delighted to be supporting a transportation business in their search for a Payroll Administrator. This role will be based in Gateshead.
The organisation is looking for an experienced Payroll to join their motivated, close knit team.
- Processing Payroll for Weekly paid employees
- Validation of Tax, NI, SSP,SMP,SPP and SMP calculations
- Checking net pay calculations before payment processing deadlines
- Processing starters, leavers and salary changes including calculation of arrears and leaving entitlements
- Completion of delegated payroll year-end duties
- Resolving payroll queries from employees in a professional and timely manner
- Provide reporting to internal departments and depots and resolve queries
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a payroll team
- Highly numerate
- Experience of working in high-pressure environment with tight deadlines
- Strong system skills, including Excel
- Experience of OpenPeople would be an advantage but is not essential
