Jackson Hogg is seeking an experienced Applications Engineer to join our client's global Product Applications Engineering Team. In this critical role, you will work closely with customers, providing technical expertise to support both pre- and post-sales activities. You’ll be instrumental in ensuring a seamless customer experience and bringing valuable insights back to the company to inform future product development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for the installation, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrification products, either remotely or on-site at global customer locations.
- Address customer inquiries, RFQs, and design reviews related to the company’s products, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
- Verify and validate products and systems customized for customer use, ensuring they meet all required specifications.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve complex in-field issues efficiently.
- Partner with Sales, Product, and Engineering teams to identify new business opportunities, improve customer experience, and bring customer insights back to the product development process.
- Generate, review, and maintain product documentation, including datasheets, user manuals, FAQs, and customer visit reports.
- Support design, installation, and maintenance activities throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Assist in the assembly process during prototype, pilot, and production phases.
Required Experience and Skills:
- A strong technical background in one or more of the following areas:
- Battery storage solutions / Battery Management Systems
- Power Electronics (Inverters, DCDCs, OBCs)
- Experience working in a technical role directly with customers, including problem-solving and solution selling.
- Ability to work from technical manuals, work instructions, and historical troubleshooting documentation.
- Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals and principles.
- Commercial acumen with a results-driven mindset.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to quickly build rapport with customers.
- Willingness to travel domestically or internationally, sometimes on short notice.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical, Electronics, or a related engineering field.
- Relevant engineering or technical experience will also be considered.
