This role includes ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining high-quality standards, and meeting production targets. The Manufacturing Manager will lead a team of production workers and collaborate with other departments to optimise operations and drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Management: Plan, coordinate, and control the manufacturing processes to ensure products are produced efficiently, on time, and within quality standards.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and lead production staff, including hiring, training, performance management, and development.
- Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure that production meets or exceeds quality standards.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements and lead initiatives to improve production efficiency, reduce costs, and increase product quality.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure that manufacturing operations adhere to safety regulations and promote a culture of safety among employees.
- Resource Management: Manage the allocation of resources, including materials, equipment, and labour, to maximise productivity and minimize waste.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain, to coordinate efforts and achieve company goals.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a continuous improvement mindset.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and safety standards.
- Proficient in using manufacturing software and tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
