Procurement Manager
Salary: £50K - £60K Dependant on Experience
Location: Teesside
Jackson Hogg is proud to be exclusively partnered with a growing Teesside-based client on the appointment of a Procurement Manager to join the existing Procurement function.
About the Role
With a number of high value and exciting projects ongoing, the Procurement Manager will be tasked to manage the full end to end procurement process whilst driving best practice and ensuring that best value, quality and cost targets are achieved inline with current and future project objectives.
Working with suppliers and service providers across a broad range of categories (raw materials, sub-contract service providers, sub-contract manufacturing partners to name a few), the successful candidate must be competent managing existing and new contracts, negotiating terms and identifying areas to enhance value whilst also thinking outside the box in offering alternative ideas and solutions.
Being a relatively new function to the business, the Procurement Manager will also be responsible for spotting opportunites for improvement in exisiting processes and developing and delivering solutions to reduce inefficiencies, cost save and add overall value to the wider bsuiness.
Desirable Skill & Experience
- Proven success working within a projects-focussed environment within an engineering or chemical sector
- Experience leading, coaching and mentoring a Procurement team of varying levels
- Experience managing complex contracts, agreements and SLAs ensuring all are compliant with company / project requirements
- Working knowledge of MRP
- Knowledge of NEC3, NEC4 and/or EPCM forms of contract essential
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport and relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers and 3rd party contractors
This role would suit a proactive, forward-thinking Procurement Manager with a very collaborative and 'can-do' attitude who likes to get stuck in with the day to day whilst also leading from the front in shaping company procurement strategy as well as taking the lead on some large and exciting projects!
