Jackson Hogg Procurement division are supporting a small, close-knit organisation in North Tyneside on the appointment of a Purchasing Coordinator to join their team. This role is full time and permanent and can offer £25,000-27,000 per annum DOE. 

Working hours are around Monday to Thursday 08:30-17:00 and Fridays 08:30-16:30 with the opportunity for some adhoc home working.

The Role:

• Maintain lines for stock and sales items in ERP system
• Maintain BOMs for sales items in ERP system
• Maintain non price list items price spreadsheet from BOM costs.
• Manage Bin locations in the stores – maintain master list of these.
• Maintain stock item safety stock levels, safety lead time information in Business Central.
• Place purchase orders for stock items to maintain appropriate stock inventory levels.
• Supervise cycle counting of stock and consumables.
• Manage purchase order process – filing, checking order confirmation details.
• Communicate with vendors and customers as required.
• Manage purchase orders and sending out of order to third party suppliers.
• Goods inwards support.
• Book stock into management system and create put away lists for stock items.
• Process and post purchase invoices where required by accounts manager.
• Work closely with Accounts Manager and Stores Supervisor and Production Supervisor.
• Answer emails and telephone calls in a timely manner.
• Arrange and manage imports of goods from overseas vendors, where required.
• Obtain new prices and part references from vendors when necessary.

 

Person Specification:

• Good working knowledge of MS Excel
• A keen interest for a career in Purchasing
• Good attention to detail 
• Positive attitude and problem solver
