An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Development Manager to join a dynamic and growing professional services firm. This role is instrumental in supporting the firm's strategic growth objectives by identifying opportunities, strengthening client relationships, and helping deliver exceptional client service.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Head of Business Development & Marketing, the successful candidate will be responsible for driving business development initiatives, with a strong focus on strategic planning, client relationship management, and market expansion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement business development plans aligned with departmental and firm-wide strategies.
- Work closely with partners and senior professionals to identify growth opportunities and generate new business.
- Take the lead on structured client development initiatives, including targeting key sectors and markets.
- Build strong, long-term relationships with existing and prospective clients.
- Contribute to raising the firm’s market profile through strategic campaigns, networking, and event participation.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a Business Development role within a professional services environment (legal sector experience preferred but not essential).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal stakeholders and external clients.
- A proactive and strategic mindset, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines.
- Excellent organisational, presentation, and IT skills.
- A flexible approach, including a willingness to work outside core hours on occasion.
