Finance Coordinator

Jackson Hogg are partnering with a great business in Byker who is looking for a Finance Assistant, you will work as part of the project management team with responsibility for all cash and invoicing management on all projects, including documentation. Additionally, you will support the management accountant with document preparation as required. The business is also offering study support.

What you’ll be doing:

• Raise and send invoices and credit notes where required.
• Chase invoice status for the forecast and provide cash and invoicing updates.
• Issue customer statements.
• Set up and maintain a monthly spreadsheet – debtor, stage payments, aged debtors and commissions.
• Assist with monthly forecast set up.
• Engage with all areas of the business to ensure that all administrative work and clerical duties are planned and executed effectively to meet departmental needs.
• Ensure all project documentation and certification is delivered in line with project requirements
• Raise payment orders (PO’s) and invoices as requested.
• Resolve financial queries with customers.
• Ensure all quality assurance, business process and standard operating procedures are followed at all times and raise when the procedures are obsolete.
• Raising Change Orders.
• Participate in personnel appraisal process.

Who we are looking for:

We ask that you have previous experience in a similar role within an engineering and/or manufacturing organisation as well as experience interacting with internal / external customers, suppliers and service providers.

We are looking for someone who has excellent time management, organisation and communication skills as well as someone who has an innovative approach to problem solving. Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in using Microsoft Office are also essential.

This role is a part time role of 24 hours per week. Hours typically 8am to 4:30pm. This can be discussed at Interview stage.
