Jackson Hogg is delighted to be working with a well-established, family-run business based in Cramlington, as they look to appoint an Assistant Accountant to join their growing finance team.
About the Role:
This is a hands-on role offering a great opportunity to broaden your accounting experience in a supportive environment. You’ll play a key part in financial reporting, cost analysis, and process improvement across the business.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and analyse financial data, focusing on revenue, maintenance, and labour costs

Support month-end accounts, budgeting cycles, and payroll administration

Monitor operational expenses including fuel efficiency, stock control, and licence renewals

Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial systems and internal processes

Provide wider administrative support to the finance and operational teams as needed
About You:
We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual with:

Part-qualified or fully qualified status (ACCA, CIMA, AAT or equivalent)

Proven experience in an accounting or finance role

Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs essential) and familiarity with accounting systems

A proactive, organised approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively
