Jackson Hogg is supporting a fantastic organisation in Durham on the appointment of an Assistant Management Accountant.
This role supports the finance team within an operational division, working closely with management accountants, assistants, and ledger teams. You'll assist in the preparation of monthly accounts and interact regularly with colleagues across both finance and operational teams.
Key Responsibilities:

Support monthly management accounts, including journal entries and reconciliations.

Ensure financial reporting is accurate and delivered on time.

Maintain control of balance sheet accounts and supporting schedules.

Assist with financial controls and process improvements.

Contribute to improving team efficiency and system processes.
Qualifications & Competencies:
-
Minimum 2 years of experience in a finance role, ideally part-qualified (ACCA/CIMA).

Strong Excel and general IT skills; confident using Outlook and other Microsoft tools.

Good attention to detail and highly organised, with a methodical approach.
-
Strong communication skills and a collaborative team player.
-
Proactive, positive mindset and able to adapt to change.
