Purchase Category Manager – Controls and Designer Rads
Location:
The Purchase Category Manager will be located at the nearest Purmo Group location and will report to the Head of Procurement.Main Responsibilities:
- Define, implement, and roll out the purchasing strategy for the product categories “Controls” (e.g., control systems) and “Designer Radiators”
- Take responsibility for all supplier-related matters, including supplier selection, contract negotiations, and the conclusion of framework agreements.
- Ensure compliance with specifications, quality standards, and operational efficiency.
- Optimize Working Capital and continuously improve purchasing processes and efficiency.
- Develop and implement strategies to reduce controls and designer rads procurement costs, aiming for sustainable cost optimization.
- Conduct Quarterly meetings with key suppliers
- Strategic source new suppliers for both categories
- Ensure that purchasing decisions consider ESG and sustainability criteria.
- Conduct regular supplier evaluations, audits, and further develop the supplier portfolio.
- Ensure the availability of services and operational resources for all locations.
- Involved in NPI for controls, developing a new suite of smart connected controls – to be involved in all commercial aspects; tendering, business case development, and ensuring supplier adheres to project lead time’s.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders such as Lead Buyer, PDI and Product Management on procurement-related projects.
- Mentor and coach colleagues in the field of controls and design radiators procurement to enhance internal procurement competencies.
- Support all locations in supplier-related matters related to the category.
- Report on KPIs, pricing developments, project results, and supplier performance.
Competences:
- At least 5 years of experience in procurement/purchasing, preferably with a focus on controls and design rads.
- Degree or equivalent qualification in a technical or commercial discipline.
- Experience in procurement within an international matrix organization.
- Proven experience in an industrial or service-oriented environment.
- Fluent in English; additional language skills are an advantage.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to prioritize effectively.
- Ability to develop and implement effective purchasing strategies.
