Jackson Hogg is excited to be supporting a well-known regional concern near Newcastle in their support for an experienced Crane Engineer. As a Crane Engineer, you will be responsible for maintenance activities across site, mainly focusing on electrical service, repair and maintenance.
This is a diverse and varied role with a large remit to support customers quickly and efficiently with a first-time fix mentality. You will be responsible for:
This is a varied role where no two days are truly the same. Candidates must have an electrical background but those with a strong Electromechanical and/or Field Service background and real-world exposure to both mechanical and electrical service is acceptable. Candidates must be time served and have a valid and Full UK Driving License.

- Site service, repairs and breakdowns
- General maintenance work, annual services, tune ups and troubleshooting
- Ensuring all paperwork, documentation and safety/quality parameters are fulfilled
- Play an active part across all relevant departments such as Engineering, EHS and Quality

Candidates must have an electrical background but those with a strong Electromechanical and/or Field Service background and real-world exposure to both mechanical and electrical service is acceptable. - Basic fault finding and rectification
- Installations, cabling and wiring
- Varied voltage work including HV and LV
- AC/DC
- PLC work and Fault Finding/Rectification
- Site Services, Facilities and Plant – such as cranes, lifting equipment, etc
- Basic Mechanical Work
- Supporting site PPM strategy
The ideal candidate will:
- Be fully time served with a minimum level 3 qualification in electrical maintenance or similar – NVQ and/or Apprenticeship Time Served
- Have experience in Manufacturing environments and Heavier industries such as Steel or Metals and Heavy Engineering/Processing
