The ideal candidate has deep expertise in ceramic or powder filled photopolymer systems, rheology control at high solid loading, and photo initiator chemistry. You will play a key role in driving innovation in high-performance ceramic materials for technical and industrial applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Resin development and optimisation formulate and optimise UV-curable resin systems with high ceramic loading
- Materials characterisation conduct rheological and photopolymerisation kinetic analysis and support thermal debinding and sintering optimisation with process teams
- Process integration – collaborate with additive manufacturing engineers to ensure resin compatibility across SLA/DLP/LCD platforms, troubleshoot print defects, optimise slurry stability and support scaleup from lab formulation through to production volumes
- Innovation & Research – develop next generation ceramic photopolymer systems and contribute to patents
- Documentation and Compliance – maintain formulation records and ensure compliance
Candidate Requirements
- MSc or PhD in: Polymer Chemistry, Materials Science, Ceramic Engineering, Additive manufacturing or related field
- 2+ years (industry preferred) in UV-curable or photopolymer resin formulation.
- Hands-on experience with high solid-loading suspensions
- Strong understanding of: Photopolymerization mechanisms, Dispersion chemistry, Rheology control
- Experience with SLA/DLP additive manufacturing systems.
- Familiarity with analytical tools such as rheometers, DSC / TGA, FTIR, laser diffraction / particle sizing
- Patent or publication record in advanced materials
- Strong problem-solving and experimental design skills
- Data-driven mindset with statistical analysis experience (DOE)
- Cross-functional collaboration skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced R&D environment
- Excellent technical documentation and communication skills
