The ideal candidate will come with experience of reliability and process improvement, ideally within FMCG or similar manufacturing environments; but other sectors will be considered providing they are fast-moving, high-volume environments. Exposure to PLC systems, Robotics, FMEA, 8D, SPC/Statistics, Instrumentation or Control Systems would be highly advantageous. Candidates for this role should meet one of the two criteria below:

This role will focus on the Facilities and Site Services remit across site working on both hard and soft services. This is a varied role working within a busy working environment on a 4 day week working pattern!

The Role

As Finance Manager, you will take ownership of the company’s financial management, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency in reporting and analysis. You will be the number two to the Managing Director, providing strategic guidance and direction to help shape the future of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

	<li>Act as a strategic partner to the MD, contributing to business planning and growth strategies

Jackson Hogg is excited to be supporting a well-known regional concern near Newcastle in their support for an experienced Crane Engineer. As a Crane Engineer, you will be responsible for maintenance activities across site, mainly focusing on electrical service, repair and maintenance. 
 
This is a diverse and varied role with a large remit to support customers quickly and efficiently with a first-time fix mentality. You will be responsible for: 
 
<ul>
	<li style="margin: 0.0cm 0.0cm 0.0cm 36.0pt;">Site service, repairs and breakdowns
	<li style="margin: 0.0cm 0.0cm 0.0cm 36.0pt;">General maintenance work, annual services, tune ups and troubleshooting

This is a varied role where no two days are truly the same. Candidates must have an electrical background but those with a strong Electromechanical and/or Field Service background and real-world exposure to both mechanical and electrical service is acceptable. Candidates must be time served and have a valid and Full UK Driving License. 
 
Working in a busy and fast paced environment, common maintenance activities would include:

Crane Electrical Technician 

This role will understand credit control and its position within the wider business, focusing on the collection of VAT from clients. This role will be driven by the needs of the business requiring a flexible and adaptable approach to work with different areas of the Finance/operational teams to achieve the desired outcomes.

Process Control Engineer Key Responsibilities:

<ul>
	<li>Design and implementation of process control solutions and involvement in all project lifecycle activities, including fault-finding, preparation of design specifications and reports, software programming, testing, installation, and commissioning.
	<li>Provide technical support to internal and external users.

Process Control Engineer Key Requirements:

	<li>Demonstrable experience with mainstream PLC/SCADA experience (including technologies such as Siemens S7/300, S7/400, Siemens PCS7, WinCC, Allen Bradley Control Logix, Allen Bradley SLC, Rockwell Factory Talk View (all versions), Emerson Delta V, Copa Data Zenon)

Jackson Hogg is partnering with a fantastic Newcastle based client to appoint a Management Accountant.

The key elements to the role:

	<li>Support the day to day and monthly accounting cycles, including reporting and forecasting of the financial performance for one of our key business units
	<li>Preparation of financial analysis and reports for monthly Trading Reviews
	<li>Develop a clear understanding of our revenue recognition policies and complete sales invoicing reconciliation
	<li>Prepare Finance reports for Operational teams including translating and presenting financial information to non-finance members of staff

Site Electrical Engineer Key Responsibilities:

	<li>Plan, develop and oversee the commissioning and maintenance of all new and existing electrical installations on site, ranging from 11,000v down to 100v systems.
	<li>Perform fault finding, diagnostic and optimisation activities across site electrical and instrumentation system and equipment
	<li>Ensure costs are minimised without compromising the quality of the service provided and to check operational control
	<li>Assist the O&M Group to solve electrical problems, ensuring minimum disruption to the plant.
	<li>Produce maintenance schedules and manuals as necessary and approve these and other key technical documents for use within the department.
	<li>Assist in the production of electrical system designs for process and utilities systems.
	<li>Prepare documentation, write reports and give presentations as necessary.
	<li>Provide technical data and documentation require for the preparation of proposals

Site Electrical Engineer Key Requirements:

Clean energy without limits

The organisation’s headcount plan was ambitious, and required an expanded recruitment capability to deliver it, but with varying recruitment volumes throughout the year, they needed a flexible solution. Geopura considered hiring an in-house recruiter, but the niche roles they were looking to fill, combined with the variability of their recruitment requirements and limited employer brand within the market meant that this solution wasn’t viable. They also considered expanding their use of recruitment agencies, but the unpredictable costs involved in this were difficult to align with their plans.

Geopura’s growth was starting to accelerate in 2022, but that came with its own problems

By placing one of our talent partners on-site, on a scalable basis from two to five days per week, we were able to optimise their recruitment process from start to finish and help them achieve their headcount plan. Our process started with an in-depth audit of their recruitment process, from job specification writing and job board usage analysis to interview technique and offer management. From there we took detailed briefs of the roles on offer and got to work sourcing candidates directly through our talent partner, with assistance from our wider, specialist recruitment team, and created a preferred supplierlist for the specialist roles we didn’t have the expertise to fill ourselves.

To assist Geopura in their ambitious growth journey, Jackson Hogg proposed our flagship Talent Partnership service.

Our talent partner assisted in creating an apprenticeship scheme to foster new talent, and by optimising the recruitment process and controlling all activities centrally, time to offer was reduced by 22%. This all allowed Geopurato achieve their headcount plans, continue their growth journey and focus on their innovative technologies rather than recruitment. Due to the success of their first 12 months, Geoupura extended their contract by a further 12 months.
