The EC&I Technician ensures that all Electrical, Control and Instrumentation maintenance routines, defect repairs and projects at the plant are carried out in a safe and efficient manner to support the 24/7 operation of the plant in accordance with corporate policies, procedures and legislative requirements.

Role Overview

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will lead the design and delivery of electrical building services projects from concept through to completion. You will play a key role in ensuring technical quality, regulatory compliance, and efficient delivery of projects across the North East and beyond.

This Principal Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of high-integrity marine electrical equipment and control systems. From electrical design to supplier engagement and validation, this individual will act as a subject matter expert in naval-grade systems, playing a key role in technical governance and customer satisfaction across defence programmes.

Principal Electrical Engineer – Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Head of Procurement, this&nbsp;Category Manager will be&nbsp;responsible for responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies across a diverse portfolio of corporate services categories including IT, Facilities Management, Temporary Labour, HR &amp; Marketing, Financial &amp; Legal services, Learning &amp; Development, Travel Management, Office Supplies, Printing, Professional Services and Capital expenditure projects that do not fall under the engineering category.

The Role:

The organisation’s headcount plan was ambitious, and required an expanded recruitment capability to deliver it, but with varying recruitment volumes throughout the year, they needed a flexible solution. Geopura’s growth was starting to accelerate in 2022, but that came with its own problems

By placing one of our talent partners on-site, on a scalable basis from two to five days per week, we were able to optimise their recruitment process from start to finish and help them achieve their headcount plan. Our process started with an in-depth audit of their recruitment process, from job specification writing and job board usage analysis to interview technique and offer management. From there we took detailed briefs of the roles on offer and got to work sourcing candidates directly through our talent partner, with assistance from our wider, specialist recruitment team, and created a preferred supplierlist for the specialist roles we didn’t have the expertise to fill ourselves.
