Jackson Hogg is partnering with a client in North Shields. With a strong market presence, this company is a leader in its sector, delivering high-quality products to clients across the globe. As they continue to grow, they are seeking a Finance Manager to oversee financial operations and support strategic decision-making.

The Role

As Finance Manager, you will take ownership of the company’s financial management, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency in reporting and analysis. You will be the number two to the Managing Director, providing strategic guidance and direction to help shape the future of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

Jackson Hogg is excited to be supporting a well-known regional concern near Newcastle in their support for an experienced Crane Engineer. As a Crane Engineer, you will be responsible for maintenance activities across site, mainly focusing on electrical service, repair and maintenance. 
 
This is a diverse and varied role with a large remit to support customers quickly and efficiently with a first-time fix mentality. You will be responsible for:

This role will understand credit control and its position within the wider business, focusing on the collection of VAT from clients. This role will be driven by the needs of the business requiring a flexible and adaptable approach to work with different areas of the Finance/operational teams to achieve the desired outcomes.

Site Electrical Engineer Key Responsibilities:

	<li>Plan, develop and oversee the commissioning and maintenance of all new and existing electrical installations on site, ranging from 11,000v down to 100v systems.
	<li>Perform fault finding, diagnostic and optimisation activities across site electrical and instrumentation system and equipment
	<li>Ensure costs are minimised without compromising the quality of the service provided and to check operational control
	<li>Assist the O&M Group to solve electrical problems, ensuring minimum disruption to the plant.
	<li>Produce maintenance schedules and manuals as necessary and approve these and other key technical documents for use within the department.
	<li>Assist in the production of electrical system designs for process and utilities systems.
	<li>Prepare documentation, write reports and give presentations as necessary.
	<li>Provide technical data and documentation require for the preparation of proposals

Clean energy without limits

The organisation’s headcount plan was ambitious, and required an expanded recruitment capability to deliver it, but with varying recruitment volumes throughout the year, they needed a flexible solution. Geopura considered hiring an in-house recruiter, but the niche roles they were looking to fill, combined with the variability of their recruitment requirements and limited employer brand within the market meant that this solution wasn’t viable. They also considered expanding their use of recruitment agencies, but the unpredictable costs involved in this were difficult to align with their plans.

Geopura’s growth was starting to accelerate in 2022, but that came with its own problems

By placing one of our talent partners on-site, on a scalable basis from two to five days per week, we were able to optimise their recruitment process from start to finish and help them achieve their headcount plan. Our process started with an in-depth audit of their recruitment process, from job specification writing and job board usage analysis to interview technique and offer management. Due to the success of their first 12 months, Geoupura extended their contract by a further 12 months.
