Senior Project Manager

About the Role
As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead and manage complex, high-value R&D projects — from concept through to product launch and lifecycle. This role is ideal for a technically minded project leader who thrives in multidisciplinary environments and enjoys balancing strategic oversight with hands-on delivery.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and deliver complex technical projects in accordance with company processes and governance standards.

Manage cross-functional, cross-site project teams within a highly regulated environment.

Take full accountability for project planning, budgeting, and resource allocation — providing accurate forecasts and transparent reporting.

Identify and manage project risks and opportunities, driving effective mitigation strategies.
-
Maintain outstanding stakeholder engagement through clear, consistent communication.
-
Provide concise reporting to Project Control Boards, Sponsors, and Senior Leadership.

Ensure projects are effectively closed out and transitioned into lifecycle management.
Role Requirements
Education & Qualifications:
-
Degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent relevant industry experience delivering complex technical projects.

Recognised Project Management qualification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, APM).
-
Chartered status or working towards Chartership (advantageous but not essential).
Experience:
-
Proven experience leading high-risk, high-value, and high-complexity projects.

Background in managing R&D projects and product development lifecycles.

Experience in project budgeting, tracking, and forecasting across multiple workstreams.

Strong leadership and people management experience across cross-functional teams.

Lily started her career with Jackson Hogg's Engineering team back in 2021. This is where she cut her teeth on all aspects of engineering design, projects and management. After relocating to London in 2023 she spent 2 years focused on Senior Leadership and Engineering across sustainability in the UK and Europe spanning all the way from Hydrogen through to BESS, renewables and e-mobility. She is excited to be back with the team at Jackson Hogg to support on Senior Engineering and Management positions, from Head of Engineering, Projects, Management and R&D. Outside of work you'll find Lily out enjoying food or whipping up some overly adventurous dish at home. She also loves to stay fit and whenever the weather allows it she'll get out on a long run.
