Finance Business Partner

We are recruiting for a commercially focused Finance Business Partner to join a growing business and play a key role in supporting operational and strategic decision-making.

This is a varied position that combines traditional management accounting responsibilities with genuine business partnering. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders, providing financial insight, challenging performance, supporting strategic initiatives, and helping drive profitability across the business.

Key Responsibilities

Management Accounting

• Produce accurate and timely monthly management accounts.
• Prepare P&L reports, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments and journals.
• Analyse financial performance against budget, forecast and prior year.
• Investigate variances and provide meaningful commentary.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
• Assist with year-end audit requirements and statutory reporting obligations.
• Ensure strong financial controls and compliance with company policies.

Finance Business Partnering

• Partner with senior operational stakeholders to support decision-making and improve business performance.
• Translate financial data into clear, actionable insights for non-finance teams.
• Provide regular financial reporting, analysis and performance commentary.
• Challenge assumptions, identify risks and opportunities, and drive accountability across the business.
• Support commercial initiatives, investment decisions and business cases.
• Build strong relationships across departments and act as a trusted financial adviser.

Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to improve reporting, processes and financial controls.
• Support the implementation and optimisation of finance systems and reporting tools.
• Drive efficiencies through automation and enhanced financial analysis.

About You

• Qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent).
• Previous experience in management accounting and financial reporting.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis skills.
• Experience partnering with operational and senior stakeholders.
• Commercially minded with the confidence to influence and challenge constructively.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial information to non-finance audiences.
• Proactive, analytical and solutions-focused.
• Strong Excel and finance systems experience.
