HGV Trailer Technician
Jackson Hogg is again supporting our client in search of an HGV Trailer Technician. PD Ports is a leading UK port business delivering end-to-end supply chain solutions across the country. Employing over 1,400 people and operating from 11 key ports and logistics centres. This is an exciting opportunity for a close-knit team at the Tees Dock site in Middlesbrough.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm
About the Role
If you are an experienced and dedicated HGV Trailer Technician, in this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of trailer equipment, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
This is a hands-on role where your skills and expertise will directly contribute to the smooth operation of our fleet and the wider business.

Key Responsibilities
- Complete planned eight weekly inspections
- Carry out maintenance and repairs using your technical expertise
- Ensure all work meets the highest quality and safety standards
- Perform on-site repairs when required
- Apply strong knowledge of pneumatics and electrical systems
- A minimum of five years of experience as an HGV or Trailer Technician is required to apply
- A recognised qualification in HGV or trailer maintenance is preferred
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to following all health and safety procedures
- Excellent attention to detail with pride in delivering high-quality workmanship
- Ability to maintain accurate service and repair records
- Flexible approach with the ability to respond to operational demands, including working outdoors in varying conditions
