Process Engineer
Jackson Hogg are supporting our client in the search for a Process Engineer to drive manufacturing process optimisation, automation, and operational excellence across production environments.
The Role
You will develop and improve manufacturing processes across both new product introduction (NPI) and existing production, focusing on efficiency, cost reduction, and lean transformation.
This role involves implementing advanced technologies, leading continuous improvement initiatives, and using data-driven analysis to enhance performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement automation solutions to the manufacturing process
- Lead lean manufacturing and Kaizen activities
- Optimise cycle times, line balance, and takt alignment
- Conduct process capability analysis (Cpk/Ppk) and time & motion studies
- Develop SOPs, work instructions, and process documentation
- Support NPI and engineering-to-operations handover
- Deliver cost-saving initiatives and ROI analysis
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, quality, and maintenance
Technical Requirements
- Degree or equivalent in Manufacturing Engineering or similar
- Experience implementing automated manufacturing systems / robotics
Strong knowledge of:
- Lean manufacturing (5S, VSM)
- Six Sigma / structured problem solving
- FMEA / PFMEA, Design for Manufacture
- Process capability (Cpk, Ppk)
- Workflow, ergonomics, and factory layout
- CAD experience and strong data analysis skills
- Proven experience managing change in a manufacturing setting
