Salary: £27,300 Basic + £4,500 Shift Allowance (£31,800 Total Package)
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Shift Pattern: Rotating Shifts

• 06:00 – 14:00
• 08:00 – 16:00
• 14:00 – 22:00

The Opportunity

We are recruiting for a Process Operator to join a well-established manufacturing operation based in Billingham. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in the chemical, food manufacturing, FMCG, or process industries who are looking to develop their career within a stable and growing business.

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and monitoring production processes, ensuring products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate plant and process equipment in line with standard operating procedures.
• Monitor production processes and record operating data.
• Conduct routine quality checks and ensure products meet specification.
• Identify and report process deviations, equipment faults, and safety concerns.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and support maintenance activities when required.
• Follow all site Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality procedures.
• Complete production documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Assist with plant start-ups, shutdowns, cleaning, and changeovers.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across production, engineering, and quality teams.

About You

We are keen to speak with candidates who have experience working within:

• Chemical manufacturing
• Food production
• FMCG manufacturing
• Pharmaceutical manufacturing
• Process industries
• Packaging or industrial manufacturing environments

Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Process Operator, Production Operator, Plant Operator, Manufacturing Operator, or similar role.
• Experience following strict health and safety procedures.
• Ability to work effectively within a shift-based manufacturing environment.
• Good attention to detail and ability to complete production records accurately.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Forklift licence or process qualifications would be advantageous but are not essential.
