Job Purpose
The Project Controls Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the successful delivery of offshore, subsea, and engineering projects. The role bridges project delivery and planning/finance by ensuring robust project scheduling, cost control, accurate financial reporting, and efficient project administration.
The individual will support Project Managers in maintaining scheduling and financial discipline, tracking performance against baselines (schedules and budgets), and ensuring all project data is accurate, timely, and compliant with company procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Project Administration
- Provide comprehensive administrative support across multiple projects regarding cost and planning.
- Maintain project documentation, ensuring accuracy, version control, and audit readiness where appropriate.
Project Planning
- Develop project schedule templates for a number of product lines using MS Project.
- Support Project Managers in the development, maintenance and updating of project schedules covering engineering, procurement, production/assembly and delivery, with an emphasis on progress measurement, critical path analysis, and risk/opportunity management.
Project Cost Control & Finance
- Monitor project budgets, actuals and forecasts in collaboration with Project Managers.
- Perform cost reconciliations and investigate variances.
- Maintain project financial data within ERP systems (Sage Intacct).
Reporting & Performance Management
- Produce monthly project cost reports and performance summaries.
- Support monthly project schedule development and maintenance.
- Maintain cost trackers, risk logs and project dashboards.
- Support forecasting and budgeting cycles.
- Provide data for project reviews and management reporting.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Liaise with Project Managers, Planning, Finance, Procurement and Operational teams.
- Act as a key coordination point for project-related information.
- Support suppliers and internal stakeholders with queries.
Governance & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to company policies, financial controls and project governance.
- Support audit processes and documentation requirements.
- Uphold company values and behaviours, promoting collaboration, quality and continuous improvement.
