Jackson Hogg Procurement division are pleased to be partnering with a global professional services organisation in Newcastle on the appointment of a Procurement and Contract Specialist to join their team on a 12-month fixed-term contract basis.

The Procurement & Contract Specialist will play a key role in managing the full commercial lifecycle across new and existing supplier engagements. This includes running competitive tenders, negotiating commercial terms, reviewing, and marking up contracts, and overseeing supplier performance. The role requires a high level of commercial acumen, strong stakeholder?management skills, and the ability to operate with confidentiality and professionalism when liaising with both internal teams and external suppliers.

Competitive salary on offer with excellent benefits including: hybrid working, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, private medical insurance, discounted gym membership and enhanced pension contributions. 

This role offers hybrid working with 2 days per week in Newcastle and 3 days per week working from home. Working hours are 09.30-17.30 (35 hours per week).

Procurement & Tender Management

	<li>Lead end?to?end tender processes (RFI, RFP, RFQ), including scoping requirements, evaluating responses, and supporting final recommendation.
	<li>Conduct market analysis to identify suitable suppliers and benchmark pricing.
	<li>Ensure all tender activity aligns with internal policies, compliance standards, and governance frameworks.

Supplier Negotiations

	<li>Negotiate directly with suppliers for both renewals and new service engagements.
	<li>Drive commercially competitive outcomes while managing risk and ensuring value for money.
	<li>Prepare negotiation strategies and consolidate feedback from internal stakeholders.

Contract Management

<ul>
	<li>Review, mark up, and provide commentary on contract terms, including MSAs, SOWs, renewals, and licensing agreements.
	<li>Work closely with legal teams to align commercial and legal positions.
	<li>Ensure all contractual documentation is accurate, current, and maintained in accordance with internal processes.

Supplier Relationship Management

Procurement and Contract Specialist (12m FTC)

We are recruiting for a Field Service Engineer to cover Ireland to assist in the installation and maintenance of large, complex robotic drug storage systems and assisting operating staff with day to day queries and fault diagnosis either remotely or on site.

NDT Inspector – MPI PCN Level II | County Durham | £40,000+

Jackson Hogg is supporting a well-established defence and engineering manufacturer in County Durham with the appointment of an experienced NDT Inspector specialising in Magnetic Particle Inspection.

This is a hands-on technical role within a busy inspection department, working to stringent quality standards across complex manufactured components for demanding end-use applications.

The Role

Reporting to the Department Manager, you will take ownership of MPI inspection activity across a range of components and materials. Day to day responsibilities will include:

<ul>
	<li>Performing magnetic particle inspections using wet and dry methods to the relevant specifications and standards
	<li>Reviewing, interpreting and sentencing components in line with acceptance criteria
	<li>Generating detailed NDT reports and developing inspection techniques
	<li>Working closely with the Quality department and directly with customers to provide technical support and interpretation guidance where required
	<li>Contributing to continuous improvement of NDT processes and documentation
</ul>

What We Need

<ul>
	<li>Current PCN Level II certification in Magnetic Particle Inspection — this is non-negotiable
	<li>Demonstrable experience in an industrial NDT environment, ideally involving castings or heavy engineered components
	<li>Strong working knowledge of current specifications and acceptance standards
	<li>A methodical approach with high attention to detail and the ability to work to tight tolerances
	<li>Additional certifications in PT, UT or other NDT methods would be a distinct advantage

What the role involves

Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and components in line with schematics, regulations, and safety standards. You&apos;ll diagnose and resolve faults, ensure compliance with electrical safety procedures, and act as a professional face of the business on client sites.

BOSIET training is provided for any offshore assignments.

What we&apos;re looking for

Clean energy without limits

The organisation’s headcount plan was ambitious, and required an expanded recruitment capability to deliver it, but with varying recruitment volumes throughout the year, they needed a flexible solution. Geopura considered hiring an in-house recruiter, but the niche roles they were looking to fill, combined with the variability of their recruitment requirements and limited employer brand within the market meant that this solution wasn’t viable. They also considered expanding their use of recruitment agencies, but the unpredictable costs involved in this were difficult to align with their plans.

Geopura’s growth was starting to accelerate in 2022, but that came with its own problems

By placing one of our talent partners on-site, on a scalable basis from two to five days per week, we were able to optimise their recruitment process from start to finish and help them achieve their headcount plan. Our process started with an in-depth audit of their recruitment process, from job specification writing and job board usage analysis to interview technique and offer management. From there we took detailed briefs of the roles on offer and got to work sourcing candidates directly through our talent partner, with assistance from our wider, specialist recruitment team, and created a preferred supplierlist for the specialist roles we didn’t have the expertise to fill ourselves.

To assist Geopura in their ambitious growth journey, Jackson Hogg proposed our flagship Talent Partnership service.

Our talent partner assisted in creating an apprenticeship scheme to foster new talent, and by optimising the recruitment process and controlling all activities centrally, time to offer was reduced by 22%. This all allowed Geopurato achieve their headcount plans, continue their growth journey and focus on their innovative technologies rather than recruitment. Due to the success of their first 12 months, Geoupura extended their contract by a further 12 months.
