Job Type: 12-month temporary contract, with potential to be extended or become permanent for the right person
Hours: 38.75 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Rotating shifts

• 6:00am – 2:15pm
• 2:00pm – 10:15pm
• Both shifts include a 30-minute break

Pay: £14.14 per hour basic + 17% shift allowance = £16.54 per hour
After Training: £15.60 per hour basic + 17% shift allowance = £18.25 per hour

The Role

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative to join a small, busy warehouse team on an initial 12-month temporary contract. There is potential for the assignment to be extended or become permanent for the right person.

This is a hands-on and physically demanding role, with approximately 70% of the position involving manual duties, including moving, handling and organising stock.

Due to the location of the site and the shift times, candidates must have a full driving licence and access to their own vehicle.

Key Responsibilities

• Receiving, moving and organising stock within the warehouse
• Manual handling and movement of products and materials
• Picking and preparing stock as required
• Loading and unloading deliveries
• Ensuring goods are stored safely and correctly
• Completing warehouse and stock documentation accurately
• Using computer systems for basic warehouse and stock-related tasks
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
• Following all site health and safety procedures
• Supporting the wider team with general warehouse duties as required

What We're Looking For

• Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
• Physically fit and comfortable undertaking a manual role throughout the working day
• Comfortable working the 6:00am – 2:15pm and 2:00pm – 10:15pm rotating shift pattern
• Good computer skills and confidence using basic IT systems
• Able to speak, read and understand English to safely follow instructions, procedures and workplace documentation
• Reliable, hardworking and willing to get stuck in
• Good attention to detail
• Able to work effectively as part of a small team
• Previous warehouse experience would be beneficial but is not essential
• FLT experience or a valid FLT licence would be advantageous but is not essential

Pay & Progression

The starting rate is £14.14 per hour basic + 17% shift allowance, giving a total rate of £16.54 per hour.

Following successful completion of training, the rate increases to £15.60 per hour basic + 17% shift allowance, giving a total rate of £18.25 per hour.

This is initially a 12-month temporary position, with the potential to be extended or become permanent for the right person.
