The Role

As Production Planner, you’ll:

<ul>
	<li>Generate and manage daily production schedules, using SAP to review and resolve MRP exceptions.
	<li>Work closely with operations, quality, and supply chain teams in daily meetings to ensure plans are achievable and issues are quickly resolved.
	<li>Balance demand and capacity by managing intercompany and abnormal demand orders.
	<li>Maintain accurate SAP master data – from MRP and forecasting through to BOMs and scheduling – so the system drives the right outcomes.
	<li>Monitor demand patterns, safety stocks, and replenishment strategies, using planning techniques to level production flow.
	<li>Support wider business performance by driving improvements around stock, lead times, and key KPIs such as OTIF, cycle turns, and stock optimisation.
	<li>Get involved in cross-functional projects, including new product introductions and process improvements.

Required Experience

	<li>Experience in production or materials planning within a manufacturing environment.
	<li>Solid SAP knowledge, particularly in MRP, master data, and planning processes.

Role Overview

The role will be responsible for reporting all manufacturing related costs. They will be responsible for analysing variances in material usage and purchase prices from standard rates. The role will also take part in standard costing reviews and provide forecasting for the business.

Key Responsibilities

Jackson Hogg is excited to be supporting a well-known regional concern near Newcastle in their support for an experienced Crane Engineer. As a Crane Engineer, you will be responsible for maintenance activities across site, mainly focusing on electrical service, repair and maintenance. 
 
This is a diverse and varied role with a large remit to support customers quickly and efficiently with a first-time fix mentality. You will be responsible for:

Role Overview

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will take ownership of all electrical engineering deliverables within multi-disciplinary project teams, from concept through to commissioning. 

Senior Electrical Engineer – Key Responsibilities

	Lead the execution of electrical engineering scopes, including technical specifications, control panel and MCC design, PLC/field equipment selection, and cable calculations.

	Act as a technical liaison with customers to manage scope, clarify deliverables, and support the resolution of engineering queries.

Site Electrical Engineer Key Responsibilities:

	<li>Plan, develop and oversee the commissioning and maintenance of all new and existing electrical installations on site, ranging from 11,000v down to 100v systems.
	<li>Perform fault finding, diagnostic and optimisation activities across site electrical and instrumentation system and equipment
	<li>Ensure costs are minimised without compromising the quality of the service provided and to check operational control
	<li>Assist the O&M Group to solve electrical problems, ensuring minimum disruption to the plant.
	<li>Produce maintenance schedules and manuals as necessary and approve these and other key technical documents for use within the department.
	<li>Assist in the production of electrical system designs for process and utilities systems.
	<li>Prepare documentation, write reports and give presentations as necessary.

Clean energy without limits

The organisation’s headcount plan was ambitious, and required an expanded recruitment capability to deliver it, but with varying recruitment volumes throughout the year, they needed a flexible solution. Geopura considered hiring an in-house recruiter, but the niche roles they were looking to fill, combined with the variability of their recruitment requirements and limited employer brand within the market meant that this solution wasn’t viable. They also considered expanding their use of recruitment agencies, but the unpredictable costs involved in this were difficult to align with their plans.

Geopura’s growth was starting to accelerate in 2022, but that came with its own problems

By placing one of our talent partners on-site, on a scalable basis from two to five days per week, we were able to optimise their recruitment process from start to finish and help them achieve their headcount plan. Our process started with an in-depth audit of their recruitment process, from job specification writing and job board usage analysis to interview technique and offer management. From there we took detailed briefs of the roles on offer and got to work sourcing candidates directly through our talent partner, with assistance from our wider, specialist recruitment team, and created a preferred supplierlist for the specialist roles we didn’t have the expertise to fill ourselves.

To assist Geopura in their ambitious growth journey, Jackson Hogg proposed our flagship Talent Partnership service.

Our talent partner assisted in creating an apprenticeship scheme to foster new talent, and by optimising the recruitment process and controlling all activities centrally, time to offer was reduced by 22%. This all allowed Geopurato achieve their headcount plans, continue their growth journey and focus on their innovative technologies rather than recruitment. Due to the success of their first 12 months, Geoupura extended their contract by a further 12 months.
