The Operations Director is responsible for leading and improving all manufacturing operations to ensure efficiency, quality, safety, and profitability. This role oversees production, supply chain, continuous improvement, and operational strategy, aligning day-to-day activities with long-term business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
- Lead and manage all manufacturing operations, including production, engineering, maintenance, and logistics
- Develop and implement operational strategies to improve productivity, efficiency, and cost performance
- Ensure alignment between operations and overall business goals
Production & Performance Management
- Oversee production planning and execution to meet customer demand and delivery timelines
- Monitor KPIs (e.g., OEE, yield, downtime, scrap rates) and drive performance improvements
- Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
Financial Management
- Develop and manage operational budgets and forecasts
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve margins
- Ensure efficient use of resources and capital investments
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements
- Promote a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
People Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop plant managers and functional leaders
- Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability and engagement
- Support workforce planning, talent development, and succession planning
Continuous Improvement & Innovation
- Drive Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies
- Lead digital transformation and automation initiatives where applicable
- Foster innovation in processes, systems, and technologies

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering
- 10+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
- Proven track record of improving operational performance and delivering results
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar frameworks
