Jackson Hogg is delighted to be supporting a well established and leading manufacturer on the appointment of a Production Planner. If you’re organised, proactive, and thrive on bringing structure to fast-paced environments, this could be the role for you. 

The Role

As Production Planner, you’ll:

• Generate and manage daily production schedules, using SAP to review and resolve MRP exceptions.
• Work closely with operations, quality, and supply chain teams in daily meetings to ensure plans are achievable and issues are quickly resolved.
• Balance demand and capacity by managing intercompany and abnormal demand orders.
• Maintain accurate SAP master data – from MRP and forecasting through to BOMs and scheduling – so the system drives the right outcomes.
• Monitor demand patterns, safety stocks, and replenishment strategies, using planning techniques to level production flow.
• Support wider business performance by driving improvements around stock, lead times, and key KPIs such as OTIF, cycle turns, and stock optimisation.
• Get involved in cross-functional projects, including new product introductions and process improvements.

Required Experience

• Experience in production or materials planning within a manufacturing environment.
• Solid SAP knowledge, particularly in MRP, master data, and planning processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make decisions under pressure.
• A confident communicator who enjoys working collaboratively across different functions.
