We’re supporting a long-established and fast-growing organisation within the print and packaging industry. With over 900 employees across multiple global sites, this business is known for its innovation, technical capability, and commitment to quality and sustainability. They now have an exciting opportunity for an Internal Technical Sales Manager to join their technical systems division.
The Role
This is an internal, office-based role working Monday to Friday, 9.00am–5.00pm (37.5 hours per week). It’s ideal for someone with an enquiring mind who enjoys problem-solving, technical products, and working directly with customers and suppliers.
You will support customers on a wide range of products including label printers, labelling software, machinery, and warehouse management solutions. The position combines technical understanding, commercial awareness, and customer interaction, with responsibility for managing projects from initial enquiry through to installation and completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a key point of contact for internal and external customers, offering technical guidance and commercial support
- Develop a strong understanding of the product range to identify solutions and address customer queries
- Create quotations, proposals, and technical documentation
- Communicate with customers to understand hardware and software requirements for projects typically valued between £1,000–£100,000
- Manage technical and commercial elements of projects through to final sign-off
- Maintain operator product manuals and technical literature
- Liaise with UK and overseas suppliers to ensure successful project delivery
- Create and identify new sales opportunities across the product range
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Professional telephone manner and confidence in customer interaction
- Self-motivated with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
- Resilient and able to manage multiple ongoing projects
- Technical, commercial, or process awareness
- Strong numerical ability and an interest in understanding how products work
- Experience with technical products, printing systems, machinery, or software is beneficial but not essential
- £29,000 salary
