Assistant Management Accountant - Accounts Payable

Jackson Hogg is supporting a growing business in Gateshead with the appointment of an Assistant Management Accountant.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone currently working within Accounts Payable, Purchase Ledger or Finance Administration who is looking to broaden their experience and progress towards a future career in Management Accounting.

Alongside responsibility for supplier invoicing, payments, reconciliations and supplier account management, you'll gain valuable exposure to month-end activities including balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Processing supplier invoices and payment runs
• Managing supplier accounts and statement reconciliations
• Ensuring accurate financial records and cost allocations
• Monitoring aged creditors and resolving supplier queries
• Assisting with balance sheet reconciliations and month-end processes
• Supporting audit requests and financial reporting activities
• Contributing to process improvement and finance system enhancements

About You

• Experience within Accounts Payable, Purchase Ledger, Finance Assistant or a similar finance role
• Strong reconciliation and supplier account management skills
• Exposure to month-end activities would be advantageous
• Studying towards AAT, ACCA or CIMA, or keen to continue your professional development
• Looking for a role that offers genuine progression and increased responsibility
