About the Opportunity
We are working with an innovative precision oncology organisation that is advancing personalised cancer management through cutting-edge genomic testing. Their technology enables ultra-sensitive detection of minimal residual disease (MRD), supports treatment selection through comprehensive genomic profiling, and helps drive biomarker strategies in drug development.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing Medical Affairs team and play a key role in bridging scientific innovation with clinical practice.
The Role
As a Medical Science Liaison (MSL), you will serve as a field-based scientific expert supporting an advanced oncology genomics portfolio, with a primary focus on an ultra-sensitive, tumour-informed ctDNA assay for MRD detection.
You will engage oncologists, researchers, and healthcare professionals, facilitating high-quality scientific exchange while supporting clinical education and adoption of novel technologies. This role also partners closely with commercial teams to ensure appropriate and effective use of the organisation’s products.
Key Responsibilities
Scientific Engagement & Communication
- Deliver impactful clinical and scientific presentations to healthcare professionals and academic audiences
- Translate complex genomic data into clear, relevant insights tailored to varied audiences
KOL Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders across academic and community settings
- Identify opportunities for advisory boards, speaker programmes, and research collaborations
Clinical Education & Advocacy
- Represent the organisation at scientific meetings, conferences, and educational events
- Support investigators with clinical data presentations and scientific materials
- Deliver workshops, grand rounds, and educational sessions
Field Activity
- Travel up to ~50% across the assigned territory
- Attend HCP meetings, internal trainings, and external events (including occasional weekends)
Additional Responsibilities
Clinical Research Support
- Help identify and engage clinical trial sites and investigators
- Support investigator-initiated and company-sponsored studies
- Provide scientific input throughout study execution
Medical Content Development
- Contribute to development and review of scientific materials (slides, publications, training content)
- Ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with current data
Insight Generation
- Stay current with developments in oncology, MRD, ctDNA, and precision medicine
- Gather field insights and share with internal teams to inform strategy and development
Candidate Profile
Education
- Advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, MD or equivalent) strongly preferred
- Minimum: Master’s in life sciences, molecular biology, genetics, or similar
- Other relevant clinical qualifications (e.g., genetic counselling) considered
Experience & Expertise
- Background in oncology, molecular biology, or precision medicine
- Understanding of genomics, biomarkers, liquid biopsy, or NGS
- Prior MSL experience beneficial but not essential

- Strong scientific communication and presentation skills
- Ability to engage diverse clinical audiences
- Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management
