A pioneering life science company is seeking a Scientific Creative Writer to bridge the gap between scientific accuracy and commercial clarity. In this role, you'll craft compelling content that communicates complex scientific ideas in a way that’s emotionally engaging, accessible, and aligned with the needs of a diverse audience — from academic researchers to pharma professionals.

Key Responsibilities
1. Creative Content Development

Write scientifically accurate and commercially engaging content for web, digital, and print platforms.

Produce a variety of materials including website copy, brochures, white papers, blog posts, application notes, case studies, and more.

Craft compelling value propositions and product positioning for new assay kits and instruments.

Generate content for campaigns such as press releases, emails, and conference abstracts.

Ensure a consistent tone and messaging across all outputs.
2. Scientific Translation & Collaboration

Work closely with scientists, engineers, and product managers to understand technical data and applications.

Translate complex scientific insights into clear, structured content suitable for varied audiences.

Edit and refine drafts to maintain brand and technical standards.
3. Brand Voice & Content Strategy

Support the marketing team with a strategic content calendar aligned to product launches and campaigns.

Contribute to evolving how the company communicates its complex technologies.

Maintain a tone that’s authoritative, precise, and science-driven.
4. Accuracy & Quality Assurance

Ensure all content upholds scientific integrity while being readable and engaging.

Verify technical claims using internal data or published research.

Review and polish externally produced content for accuracy and consistency.
What You’ll Bring
Required:

Degree in Biophysics, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or a related field (MSc or PhD preferred).

Demonstrated experience writing scientific and commercial copy in biotech, life sciences, or technology sectors.

Strong ability to explain complex scientific topics in clear, accessible language.

Excellent editorial skills with a high standard for accuracy and clarity.

A portfolio showcasing diverse content formats — from technical summaries to product copy.
Preferred:

Familiarity with single-molecule detection, fluorescence assays, or biophysical instrumentation.

Understanding of SEO and analytics in a B2B scientific content context.

Experience supporting product launches or scientific marketing campaigns.

Proficiency with CMS tools (e.g., WordPress) and layout/design tools (e.g., Adobe InDesign).
