I'm looking for an Interim Finance Process Anaylst for an established business based in Newcastle, offering c.£200 per day
Overview
- Work closely with finance team members across key processes (e.g. R2R, reporting, SAP-related activities)
- Engage in a short-term assignment of 6–8 weeks
- Observe and gain a clear understanding of how tasks are performed in practice
- Ask targeted questions to identify variations, risks, and dependencies across processes
- Translate findings into clear, structured, and easy-to-follow documentation
1. Process Documentation (Core Output)
- Develop step-by-step SOPs that are clear, practical, and user-friendly
- Include relevant SAP transaction references where applicable
- Ensure all key controls and checks are documented
2. Process Mapping (High-Level)
- Create simple flow diagrams for key finance processes
- Clearly outline inputs, outputs, and key dependencies
3. Standardisation
- Identify inconsistencies across teams and processes
- Recommend best practice approaches where appropriate
- Establish a centralised documentation repository
- Develop templates to support future process documentation
Candidate Profile
Essential:
- Finance background (graduate or part-qualified ACCA/CIMA)
- Strong understanding of core finance processes (month-end, reporting, reconciliations)
- Ability to break down and structure complex processes clearly
Desirable:
- Experience working with SAP
- Previous exposure to process documentation or SOP creation
- Understanding of audit and control environment
Engagement Details
- Duration: 6–8 weeks
- Working Model: On-site, working directly with finance teams
- Level: Early career to part-qualified
- Day Rate: Dependent on experience

- Key processes documented in a clear, consistent, and structured manner
- Documentation is easily understood by someone with no prior process knowledge
