Sales Manager
Injection Moulding | Gateshead
An established and growing plastics manufacturing group is seeking a technically strong Sales Manager with deep injection moulding expertise to drive commercial growth.
With a core focus on custom injection moulded components and sub-assemblies, this is a hands-on, customer-facing role where your technical understanding will be critical in winning and delivering business across sectors including engineering, medical, and consumer goods.
What you’ll do
- Drive new business growth, targeting customers requiring injection moulded solutions
- Build and manage long-term relationships with OEMs and key accounts
- Act as a technical advisor, guiding customers on tooling, design for manufacture, and material selection
- Translate customer requirements into viable manufacturing solutions
- Prepare detailed quotations and negotiate commercial agreements
- Collaborate closely with tooling, engineering, and production teams to ensure successful project delivery
- Identify new applications and opportunities within injection moulding markets
- Maintain CRM pipelines and deliver accurate sales forecasting
- Represent the business at customer sites, technical meetings, and industry events
What we’re looking for
- Strong background in injection moulding sales or plastics manufacturing (essential)
- Solid understanding of tooling, thermoplastics, and moulding processes
- Proven ability to win and develop business in technically led sales environments
- Experience working with OEMs and engineering-led customers
- Commercially astute with strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Confident discussing technical concepts with both engineers and procurement teams
- Self-motivated, driven, and comfortable working autonomously
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
