We are supporting a prestigious and fast-growing luxury retail events business in the search for an exceptional Head of Operations. This organisation partners with globally recognised high-end brands to deliver exclusive private sales, premium in-store events, and curated online retail experiences.
With a busy events calendar, a flagship central London venue, and continued international growth, the business is strengthening its leadership team and operational capability - making this a key appointment for their next phase of expansion.
The Role
This is a hands-on, fast-paced leadership role where you will oversee all operational activity across events, customer service, fulfilment, and facilities. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of all sales events, delivering outstanding customer and brand experiences, and developing a high-performing operations team.
You’ll bring structure, strategic thinking, and strong people leadership, while staying close to the day-to-day detail that ensures operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a multi-disciplinary operations team.
- Shape and deliver the operational strategy to support business growth.
- Oversee event planning, logistics, workflow, and execution across all venues.
- Maintain exceptional standards of customer experience and brand presentation.
- Improve operational processes, systems, and compliance across the business.
- Manage operational budgets, forecasting, and performance reporting.
- Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Drive team development, training, and leadership succession planning.
- Work cross-functionally with Facilities, HR, Marketing, and other stakeholders.
About You
- Senior operational experience within retail, events, or a similarly fast-paced environment
- A strong people leader with proven experience managing and motivating teams
- Highly organised, proactive, and solutions-focused with excellent decision-making skills
- Commercially minded with experience overseeing budgets and KPIs
- Adaptable, calm under pressure, and comfortable managing multiple priorities
- Collaborative and confident communicator with a modern leadership approach
- Passionate about luxury service, customer experience, and operational excellence.
